This week on Thursday my National Hostory Day project is due. This is our biggest project of the year in social studies and I'm not done yet and that kinda freaks me out. I don't have to much to do with it but I still need to find pictures for long term legacy. Oh and if I didn't tell you I am doing a documentary! That part has been fun making one. Anyway so yeah I need to find more pictures for the long term legacy. I also need to finish my process paper. In the process paper we explain how we conducted research ect. I also have to do an anotated bibliography which is going to be hard to do for ALL of the pictures. Ok I'm done complaining about how much I have to do. Sorry about this post and how irrelevant it is to my blog...
I think it is super fun to plan your own birthday party. Mine is less than two months away and yes, I'm so excited I already started planning it.
The first thing I did to plan was pick my theme... I looked on Pinterest and found some cool ideas. I didn't really like a lot of them so I looked on youtube. On YouTube I found a lot of cool ideas too. The theme I finally decided on was a pajama party!! The video I found it in was on a channel called The Sorry Girls. A game I also found on their channel was the clothespin game. In this game the host, (me), chooses four words no one can say throughout the party. For example pajamas, party, music, and food. Then at the start of the party you give everyone four clothes pins that they clip somewhere on their clothes. Then through out the night if I heard someone say, these pajamas are so cute! I could say you said pajamas and take their clothespin away. But then if I said lets go get food they could take mine. So yeah that is one of the fun games I'm going to do for my party!! I am going to be 13 in two months and I'm really excited!! I'm kinda planning my party a little early because I need to order onesies online that won't be here till April so yeah. For my party we are going to get our nails done at Penn nails with my dad. After that my dad will drop us off at my moms house. Here we will have a sleepover and a pajama party!! I'm buying everyone matching onesies! We will also have a photo booth type thing and I will print the pictures and give it to them. Here is a quick DIY for a fake photo booth!
First draw or print glasses, Disney princess hair, mustaches ect. Then get some skewers and tape the pictures to them! After that set up a cute backdrop and take the photos!! For my National History Day project my topic is Walt Disney. I've always loved Disney and it is really fun to figure out a ton of facts about the original creator! I thought I would share my top 7 favorite facts I've learned.
1: He has 4 siblings 3 brothers and 1 sister 2: He dropped out of highschool to join the military at age 16. I think this is cool that he wanted to serve for our country in WWI 3. Oswald the lucky rabbit was stolen from Walt by the distributor Charles mintze 4. He thought of Mickey Mouse on a train car 5. Mickeys original name was Mortimer 6. He married Lillian Bounds 7. Disney land was originally going to be built in the back lot of his first studio. As some of you may now for Christmas I recieved a cat! You notice the title says cats and that sentence says cat... We ended up getting two!! We got them from a rescue organization call Pause for Paws. They are brothers hence why we got two!
Their names are Grayson and Robert. They were both very scared at first because they were abused and neglected in their last home. Now Grayson is a very social cat who loves to play and bite at your feet wherever you go! Robert is still warming up to us. He is starting to come out quite a bit more and playing and letting us pet him. So yeah that is how they are doing so far!! I am a little bit behind on my blog. I kind of stopped blogging and didn't relize that I should've started... So yeah I need to catch up. I'm going to turn in a stone soup so I will ten post credit and then I have to do 18... That's kind of a lot. I wish I'd remembered to blog! Oh well, I guess I just have some catching up to do...
Anyway so yeah there will be a lot more posts coming soon... Some good, some bad. But as always I hope you enjoy them anyway! And also sorry for posting this because you probably didn't want to read it! My friends are very obsessed with Doctor who. I watch it a little bit but I am definitely not as obsessed as my friends! My friend Kristen kind of started the craze so then Mary started to watch and then Lucy did and then I did. Here is what I rate our craziness about it 1 being not a lot 10 being tons! Mary: 10!!! Kristen: 10!! Lucy: 8! Me: 3... I'm not really into it that much but I can see why they like it because it is pretty awesome. My favorite doctor is the 10th Matt Smith. Kirsten's favorite is Matt Smith too. Lucy's favorite is the 11th Doctor David tenant. Mary also is obsessed with the 10th doctor! I think most people like the tenth doctor as well. This for example is David Tennant!!
I'm super excited because over Presidents' Day weekend, Friday- Sunday, we are going to te MOA to stay at the radison blu! We are staying there Friday night and Saturday night and I think it's going to be really fun. We went to the MOA last prong break and that was really fun so I hope this is really fun to!!
We like to do staycations because they are super fun and easy on long weekends like this! We also have gone to the waterpark of America but it wasn't as fun because our skin got so dry when we went. So yeah, if you've never done a staycation before you totally should! They are super fun and a lot easier that travel halfway across the country!! Last night I went to the doctor to get my cast off! If you didn't know I broke my wrist snowboarding in January, well technically December 31. :) Anyway besides the point I got my cast off!!! Right when we got into the room the nurse brought in the cast remover. It was this big blue tank thing and then there was what looked like a very sharp saw. I kinda was scared but then the nurse held it up to his arm and turned it on and it didn't cut him! Apparently it won't even cut through hockey tape!
So then I wasn't scared and he started to cut through it. It didn't hurt but it tickled a lot! The he to this clamp to spread it apart and I pulled my hand out and it felt SO good. I then washed my hands, (again it felt SO good), and they took me into the x-Ray room. Then the doctor told us the x-rays all looked good and we could go home! Before we could though I had to get a removable brace which I just have to wear for 4 weeks when I'm doing sports ect. After I got home I took a nice long hot shower. It was AMAZING to take a shower without a trash bag on my arm. :) So yeah now my cast is off and I hopefully won't get a new one for many more years!! A couple of weeks ago quarter three started. I'm pretty happy about this because that means there is only one
more quarter after this one left!!!!! So yeah I will now be blogging a lot again for quarter 3! |
